Hope Island
Hope Island is located north of Runaway Bay. The area was named after colonial aristocrat Captain Louis Hope, who was granted approximately 1,800 acres of land at the mouth of the Coomera River in recognition of his contribution in developing the sugar industry in Queensland.
Hope Island is little more than half an hours drive from Brisbane's south. It’s just twenty minutes from the beaches and excitement of Surfers Paradise and the Gold Coast hinterland is not far away where you can enjoy the quiet, green tranquility.
If you enjoy golf make sure you play a round at the Links Hope Island golf course, which is one of Australia’s top 10 resort courses.
