Runaway Bay
Runaway Bay is primarily a waterfront suburb at the northern end of the Gold coast, being an angler’s paradise, with many great fishing spots.
The waterfront and beaches on Runaway Bay are just a short stroll and are protected from the ocean by South Stradbroke Island.
Development started in 1972 to transform the land into a residential and boating area.
Runaway Bay also has a sailing boat and yacht facility operated by Southport Yacht Club.
Skating facilities, bikeways, plenty of accommodation and houseboat cruising are some attractive elements which make Runaway Bay a runaway success.
